LEE COMPANY PARTNERS WITH THE ACADEMIES OF NASHVILLE

(Nashville, TN) Lee Company, a comprehensive facilities solutions and home service provider, is partnering with Cane Ridge High School in Antioch in Metro Nashville Public Schools inaugural year of The Academies of Nashville.
The career academies’ goal is to allow students to focus on an area of interest along with their core classroom studies in English, Math, History and Science. Bobby Hullet, director of education for Lee Company, serves as the liaison for the Academy. “This partnership gives students a ‘real world’ perspective with application across their curriculum. Practical experience is invaluable and will give the students an inside look at what our industry is all about.”
Hullet spent time this summer working with 4 teachers and an assistant principal from Cane Ridge High School. The teachers visited Lee Company headquarters, met with managers, visited the various groups, and participated in field excursions to Lee Company job sites where they were able to interact with several employees focusing on various tasks and specialties
.
“We’ll incorporate what we’ve learned into our curriculum,” said Harold Cunningham, the career and technical education teacher from Cane Ridge High School, the liaison with Lee Company. “Our selected students will learn first-hand from the best in the industry. It will create a real-world relevance that will prepare the students for the next step in their education, whether it’s college or a trade school.”
Lee Company is one of 75 businesses involved in the 1st Academies of Nashville program. Lee Company participation is under the Engineering, Manufacturing and Industrial Technology grouping.
Lee Company already has in place its own University, the Lee Company University (LCU) which is a National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) accredited training site. Managers and technical personnel are constantly attending classroom sessions on the latest products and undergoing frequent training at Lee Company’s own manufacturing facilities.

LEE COMPANY PROMOTES DAN KALMAN TO LEAD HOME SERVICES GROUP

(Nashville, Tn) Lee Company, a comprehensive facilities solutions and home services provider, has announced the promotion of Dan Kalman to Vice President of Home Services. Kalman has been with Lee Company since 1986.
“Lee Company has given me an opportunity to grow with the company,” Kalman said. “There aren’t a lot of places where you can start out as a heating and cooling technician and work your way into an executive management position.”
Kalman will direct Lee Company’s move into a full-service home provider. “Our expanded home services program will make life a lot easier for people,” Kalman said. “People want convenience and one call to us can accomplish that.”
Lee Company performs a variety of services for homeowners.
Technicians specialize in heating and air conditioning maintenance, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, home security, painting and much more.
“Dan has proven himself, first in the field as a heating and cooling technician and more recently as head of our residential group,” said Richard Perko, President of Lee Company. “He is an executive who has earned the respect of the guys in the field. LEE COMPANY HOME SERVICE TRUCKS COLLECT FOOD FOR SECOND HARVEST

(Nashville, TN) Lee Company, a provider of home services, is using its technicians and service trucks to collect food for Second Harvest Food Bank. Lee Company’s 100 trucks average 5 stops each, every day doing a variety of home services from heating and air conditioning maintenance, appliance repair, electrical and plumbing work, home security, painting and much more.
“We realized that our home services’ house calls are a great opportunity to assist Second Harvest in collecting food from homeowners who want to help feed the hungry,.” said Dan Kalman, Vice-President of Home Services at Lee Company. We’re offering our customers the convenience of participating in a food drive, without having to leave their home.”
Lee Company has collected over 1000 pounds of food for Second Harvest in just two months.
Lee Company dispatchers disclose the food drive to homeowners before Lee Company arrives for their scheduled appointment. When Lee Company technicians arrive at the door, they’re greeted by homeowners and bags of food.
“Lee Company is a great example of a local company being innovative to help the community,” said Jaynee Day, President and CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank of middle Tennessee. Lee Company is providing us manpower we never anticipated.”
