  • Every 30 to 60 days.

How many systems do I have in my home?

  • The number of systems in your home will coincide with the number of thermostats you have.

What should I do if my system is frozen?

  • We recommend that you turn the system off and turn the fan to the on position.

What is flat rate pricing?

  • Flat rate pricing gives you, the customer, a direct cost of your repair regardless of how long that repair takes.

Plumbing

It seems like we have less and less hot water. What can we do?

  • There could be a problem with your heater. However, with the technology today you could ensure you never run out of hot water again with the new tankless water heater. Call today for more information.

What can I do to keep my floors from getting so cold?

  • Install thermostatically controlled floor heat.

Why does it take so long to get hot water to my faucet?

  • The hot water has to circulate from the water heater to the desired fixture. The installation of a Grundfos Recirculating Pump will ensure instant hot water.

Why does my faucet keep dripping shortly after it was repaired?

  • Your incoming water may be over the desired pressure and require a pressure reducing valve installed to lower it to a safer level. This will prolong the life of your faucets, dishwasher and other fixtures.

How do your charges compare with other electrical service companies?

  • Lee company’s prices are competitive. But it doesn’t stop there! Ask your Electrician about a Total Lee Maintenance Agreement, which saves you money on each and every service call.

What are your operating hours?

  • Lee Company Electricians are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve your electrical needs. They respond to emergency situations at any hour of the day or night.

My new dryer has a 4 prong cord connector and the old one only had 3. What needs to be done?

  • The new dryer requires a separate neutral conductor. An electrician needs to make the necessary changes required by local and federal NEC Codes.

What is a GFCI and do I really need it?

  • It is a ground fault circuit interrupter and they are required to be in all damp locations of your home by local and federal NEC Codes.

Why do my dimmer switches feel warm to the touch, and is this normal?

  • Yes, this is normal because the dimmer reduces the voltage and they dissipate the heat when in use.

Something smells like it is burning when I use my lights, should I be concerned?

  • Yes you should be concerned, it is possible that you may have a loose connection or damaged wiring that could result in shock or a fire. This should be checked out by a qualified electrician.

Why do my light bulbs burn out so frequently?

  • It’s possible that your incoming voltage is higher than normal and should be checked by an electrician. It’s possible that you need to change to 130 volt lamps for longer life.

I have a breaker that keeps tripping. Is this a problem?

  • It is possible that there is damage to the circuit that needs to be repaired or that the circuit is overloaded. Contact an electrician to correct this problem.

What are electrical surges?

  • Surges are momentary spikes in electrical voltage. These surges can enter a home through the incoming electrical line, telephone line, and even the cable or internet line.

Do I need surge protection?

  • Yes, it is a very good idea to install surge protection not only on your electrical system but also on your phone, data, and cable lines as well. A surge protection system protects electronic equipment from excess voltage that could be damaged if lightning runs in or when power surges occur.

What do I do when I lose power to my home?

  • Emergency standby generators operate automatically and simultaneously switch OFF the main circuit breaker connected to your load center and switch ON the main circuit breaker connected to your generator. The generator senses the utility power loss and makes this switch even if no one is home. It also knows when the power comes back on and will automatically switch power back on through your home's main load center.

What type of generator is right for my home?

  • The first step in purchasing a generator is to identify the things you absolutely cannot live without during a power outage. Usually high on the list will be the refrigerator and the freezer, a well pump, the furnace if you have natural gas or electric heat, home office, or maybe some lighting. Security

Can Lee Company install a new security system?

  • Yes, we have trained qualified technicians to meet all of your security needs.

Can Lee Company re-activate my security system installed by someone else.

  • Yes, and in most cases we can utilize your existing equipment and have you monitored the same day.

Who provides the monitoring for Lee Company’s security systems?

  • SentryNet is Lee Company’s monitoring station and they have 2 monitoring stations for redundancy.

What happens if a customer loses power at their home concerning the security system and its ability to work properly?

  • All of Lee Company’s security systems have a redundant power supply in the form of a back up battery. This battery will power the system for up to 48 hours.

Is a phone line required to have a monitored alarm system with Lee Company?

  • No it is not required. Lee Company offers monitoring with cellular call-out and internet reporting. Both can be used as primary means of communication or as a back-up.

Do Lee Company alarm systems allow for pets?

  • Yes, Lee Company uses Honeywell motion detectors with a range of 1lb. up to 80lbs of pet immunity.

Can Lee Company security systems be included in my maintenance agreement?

  • All Lee Company customers are eligible to upgrade their current maintenance agreement to a plan that includes all of your maintenance and security needs for one low monthly investment fee.

How much do you charge to diagnosis my appliance problem?

  • We have a $69.00 diagnostic fee and once the problem is found you will be given a flat rate quote to make repairs.

Do you carry parts on your service trucks?

  • We stock most common parts on our service trucks but still may need to order brand specific parts.

Is it necessary to perform routine maintenance on my appliances?

  • Manufactures recommend routine maintenance to keep appliances operating efficiently and it will also help to ensure peak performance of your appliance.

Home Service Solutions

What type of preventative maintenance does my home need?

  • Your home air conditioning systems, electrical, plumbing and appliances require preventative maintenance to keep them operating safely and efficiently. However, Lee Company can help with all of your home’s maintenance needs from cleaning your gutters, pressure washing and even carpet cleaning.

How much does a maintenance plan cost?

  • We have several maintenance plans that can meet all of your home’s maintenance needs and fits within your budget. One of our qualified technicians would be happy to help you find the plan that’s right for you.

What is covered under a maintenance plan?

  • All routine general maintenance is covered as outlined in your custom maintenance plan.

Does a maintenance plan give me free service calls?

  • The maintenance visits are covered under the plan. Any service work that may be needed would give you up to a 20% discount and parts and labor.

Does having a maintenance plan make me a priority customer?

  • Absolutely! Lee Company is committed to our maintenance agreement customers and will always try to provide service within 24 hours of your call.

Does my new unit need service?

  • Yes, your new unit needs maintenance service too. It’s no different than driving your new car that first 3,000 miles. Naturally you’re going to have maintenance performed on it to protect your investment.
