Our vans are used to serve our communities. Canned goods are needed in the communities we serve.
With this simple foundation, Vans4Cans was born. Now an annual campaign, this year’s Vans4Cans brought our employees, customers, and partners together to raise 101,058 pounds of food, our largest pounds donation yet!
This year, we ran our Vans4Cans campaign in September – Hunger Action Month. This created enthusiasm and community awareness to help us contribute to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, Food Bank of North Alabama, and Feeding America Kentucky’s Heartland.
Our technicians, construction teams, and office-based staff created opportunities to bring in food and raise funds. In order to keep the food drive exciting, we held an internal competition to see which group could raise the most pounds of food. All our teams were extremely creative in order to achieve their goals. Groups had office bake sales, ice cream socials, pancake breakfasts, a Fall soup sale, and an awesome on-site car wash! There were flamingos on desks and arrest warrants to keep things interesting.
This was a tremendous team effort, which is true to our company culture!
We remain committed to our communities, and thankful to have another opportunity to serve. We could not have reached these results without your support. Thank you to our many customers and partners for supporting Vans4Cans.
